What is reiki?

Reiki is an ancient Japanese technique for healing using a higher vibrational energy called the Universal Life Force Energy - aka Prana or QI (chi).

This is the energy that created our souls and runs through all objects and space. It’s the energy that fills and animates the universe.

When the energy is channeled by a reiki practitioner it most commonly flows out of their hands into the client’s body.

The real question is… How will reiki healing make me (fill in the blank)?

  • Happier

  • Have less anxiety

  • A better athlete

  • Have more focus

  • Not rethink conversations over and over in my head

  • Be able to say NO and not people please

    and the list goes on and on and on….

The short-ish answer is:

When we say “energy” we don’t mean energy measured by calories or energy expenditure, or the type of energy you have when you are not tired.

When we say “energy” we mean the energy that created you in the physical form; the energy that all things are made from. We mean the energy when you pass a person and say “I just love that person’s energy”, when you want to be around a person or can’t stand to be around them because of their energy.

This energy (aka your biofield energy) can become blocked from things like negative experiences, childhood traumas, low vibration feelings of anger, frustration, jealously, etc. Your biofield energy flows in and around you, very much like how your blood flow from your heart to your entire body can become blocked. When it is blocked it will affect you emotionally and will ultimately lead to physical effects.

The higher energy of reiki replaces stagnant, not-so-great energy. By replacing this stagnant energy, energy will start to flow fluidly throughout your body. The effects of these changes will be subtle at first, but soon you will notice you:

  • Are happier

  • Have less anxiety

  • Feel more love for yourself and for all things around you

  • Have less negative thoughts

  • Have less chatter and clutter in your head

  • Find joy in more things

  • Can focus more

    and the list goes on and on and on…

This then leads to:

  • Better relationships

  • Better performance as an athlete

  • More efficient at work

  • Less unexplainable physical pain

  • All of the things you do to beautify yourself will work better! Like workouts, face & body treatments, therapy, etc.
